About Christine

Hi! I’m Christine -- a Vietnamese-American Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves working teens and young adults in their journey towards emotional healing and recovery. I enjoy incorporating creative ideas such as expressive arts and crafts and other experiential activities into traditional talk therapy sessions. I use these activities to bring to the surface underlying emotions, inner thoughts, and hidden experiences as a way to increase our understanding of ourselves. I love to paint with watercolor, take mini moments to bask in the sun, and go rock climbing in nature or in the gym. I am also a bun mom of a brown bunny named Boba!

Educational Background & Credentials

Christine first discovered her passion for helping people while majoring in Psychology at UC San Diego and deepened her passion through a Masters in Social Work at the University of Southern California. During her graduate program, Christine worked with students and families at Johnson Elementary school as well as young mothers at a maternity shelter program through Home Start. After obtaining her graduate degree, Christine worked with young adults with serious mental illnesses in underserved communities at Catalyst and transitioned to working with teens in the foster care system at the San Pasqual Academy. Christine was compelled to work with various populations and people groups. Her multi-leveled passion for diverse demographics increased her understanding on how hardships presents itself differently across each individual's lives. Christine's hunger for intensity and emotions as well as her natural curiosity allows her to listen intently and hold space for each person's story.
