MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY, INDIVIDUALS, TRAUMA PROCESSING, EMDR

Laura Gordon, LMFT

Hello, I’m Laura. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my aim is to help adolescents, adults, and family systems develop the skills to address and navigate through the messy and painful parts of their lives. Regardless of life stage and age, we can all find ourselves in overwhelming, lonely, distressing places.

Along the therapeutic journey, I seek to provide warmth and safety, education and useful tools, and consistent time and space to usher in insight, freedom, and healing. Specializing in EMDR (trauma work), I consider it one of life’s greatest privileges to watch mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical healing transpire as beautiful change takes root in peoples’ hearts and lives.

I acknowledge the courage it takes to face our pain and journey towards deeper understanding, which most often involves going back before we can go forward, but please hear me when I say, I believe it is a road worth traveling.

As a wife and mom of four young children, I understand how hectic and complex life can be. I will meet you wherever you are and seek to accommodate your shifting needs, goals, and schedules. I’d love to help you and your family discover how to thrive.

COUNSELING, CHILDREN, CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

Christine Peng, LCSW

Hi! I’m Christine -- a Vietnamese-American Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves working with teens and young adults in their journey towards emotional healing and recovery. I enjoy incorporating creative ideas such as expressive arts and crafts, play, and other experiential activities into traditional talk therapy sessions. I use these activities to bring to the surface underlying emotions, inner thoughts, and hidden experiences as a way to increase our understanding of ourselves. I love to paint with watercolor, take mini moments to bask in the sun, and go rock climbing in nature or in the gym. I am also a bun mom of a brown bunny named Boba!

Educational Background & Credentials

Christine first discovered her passion for helping people while majoring in Psychology at UC San Diego and deepened her passion through a Masters in Social Work at the University of Southern California. During her graduate program, Christine worked with students and families at Johnson Elementary school as well as young mothers at a maternity shelter program through Home Start. After obtaining her graduate degree, Christine worked with young adults with serious mental illnesses in underserved communities at Catalyst and transitioned to working with teens in the foster care system at the San Pasqual Academy. Christine was compelled to work with various populations and people groups. Her multi-leveled passion for diverse demographics increased her understanding on how hardships presents itself differently across each individual's lives. Christine's hunger for intensity and emotions as well as her natural curiosity allows her to listen intently and hold space for each person's story.

Christine is registered and licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (License #102479).

Christine specializes in…

TEENAGERS, YOUNG ADULTS, MILITARY, KETAMINE ASSISTED THERAPY

Camille Ellingsen, LMFT

Hello, my name is Camille. As a Licensed Psychotherapist, I view therapy as a deeply personal and transformational process that promotes growth, regardless of where you are in life; whether in a crisis, have a relationship issue, curious on who you are, or suffer from destructive patterns.

I provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space that encourages you to discuss your deepest thoughts and struggles to promote optimal healing and balance. Together we focus on the areas in your life that feel unbalanced or are not working well so that you can live life with more self-awareness, clarity, creativity, curiosity, and confidence. The goal is to better manage work and school stress, improve relationships, and find relief from anxiety and depression in a therapeutic environment that is warm and supportive.

It is paramount that I build a strong rapport with my clients as therapy is a collaborative healing process. I believe in holistic healing and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself. I integrate mindfulness into my therapy practice through Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Compassion-Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

My services include traditional talk therapy as well as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAT) where I provide preparation and integration session(s) pre and post to the experiential ketamine session(s). Ketamine is considered a breakthrough treatment for depression, PTSD, and some other neuropsychiatric conditions. I also offer Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a form of assisted therapy which connects both sides of the brain to help process past emotional trauma. Please contact me to learn more about this treatment and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

My specialties are working with teenagers, young adults, and military personnel who are experiencing anxiety, depression, inner conflict, low self-esteem, addiction, and/or relational issues.

Educational Background & Specialities

While working in California, Tennessee, England, and Germany, I have worked with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, multicultural, military families, teenagers, and adults. I began my work in Nashville, TN at a recovery center on a HBCU campus. I then worked on military bases in Tennessee as well as overseas as a therapist.

I was trained by the leading experts at Polaris Insight Center located in San Francisco to provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I earned my bachelors degree at Cal Poly in 2011 and earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I am a licensed therapist in both California and Tennessee.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT- CA: #122858, TN: #1266) and a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

I love working with….

  • Military families who deal with relationship issues, military children working through adjustment periods, or service members struggling with PTSD.
