About Phoenix
Hello, I'm Phoenix! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#147271) with a passion for working with adolescents and young adults. I completed my undergraduate studies at Biola University and earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant University. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. I have had the tremendous blessing of serving in agencies, non-profit organizations, and a group practice alongside incredible women.
Currently, I provide therapy services in my Carlsbad office and at Santa Fe Christian School in Solana Beach. In my practice, I aim to help clients navigate change and stressors, find healing, develop effective coping strategies, and build meaningful relationships. I approach my clients with a balance of directness, compassion, understanding, warmth, and humor. I am particularly passionate about supporting parents in leading their children with confidence and fostering strong, healthy family units.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our Labradoodle mix, Okie. Together we enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling, watching movies, being outside, and spending time with friends. We are so grateful to live in San Diego!
Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming and intimidating process. I hope I can alleviate some of the stress by providing reliability, availability within a week, and convenient access to therapy. We are not meant to walk through life alone - let's do this together!
